More details could emerge later today about a multiple-fatality fire on Easter morning.

Authorities released no new information overnight about the fire, which destroyed a home in east Vancouver. At least six bodies were pulled from the ruined home, Vancouver police said Sunday evening.

Investigators were on the scene this morning at 15304 N.E. 13th Circle. The rental home had been occupied by a family, neighbors said.

The names of the dead and the cause of their deaths have not been released. That information may be available from the medical examiner late today or Tuesday.

Kim Kapp, a police spokeswoman, said in an e-mail message this morning that police are awaiting information on the cause of the fire, which could take several days or longer.
