Seattle police, KingCo deputies share training

SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Police Department, King County sheriff’s office and the Washington Criminal Justice Training Center have produced a common training curriculum for how officers deal with the public.

Police Chief John Diaz, Sheriff Sue Rahr and the director of the training center at Burien, Joe Hawe, are announcing the curriculum at a Monday afternoon news conference in Seattle.

Diaz says it will affect 2,000 officers.
