Two rollover accidents challenged drivers along Highway 14 in the Columbia River Gorge Thursday afternoon.

The first rollover occurred about 12:10 p.m. near Belle Center Road in Skamania County, approximately two miles from the Clark County line. A westbound truck tipped and spilled a load of pears over both lanes. Enough of the pears were cleared to allow one lane to pass before the highway was reopened about 6 p.m.

At 12:30 p.m. another westbound truck spilled its load of lumber. That accident was just east of the Highway 197 junction in Klickitat County. Traffic there was flagged through the site for five hours, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

No serious injuries were reported.
