KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Afghan police say a man wearing a vest packed with explosives blew himself up in a bazaar, killing three civilians and wounding 11 others near the border with Pakistan.
Officials at the Ministry of Interior say wounded civilians in the Barmal district of Paktika province have been taken to hospital and that police are investigating the attack.
The bombing comes one day after the Taliban announced the beginning of its spring offensive, which it claimed is aimed at driving foreign troops out of Afghanistan.
