PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks sent minor-league catcher John Hester to the Baltimore Orioles to complete a trade made late last year.

Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers said Saturday that the move completes the Dec. 6 trade in which Arizona got pitchers David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio from Baltimore for infielder Mark Reynolds.

The 27-year-old Hester was hitting .263 with one homer, three doubles and five RBI in 10 games with Triple-A Reno this season.

In two seasons with the Diamondbacks, Hester hit .220 with three homers, nine doubles, 3 home runs and 11 RBI in 53 games.
