Two motorcyclists were hurt Sunday after a collision with a car on state Highway 14 three miles east of Washougal, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Thomas R. Heafey, 63, of Spokane Valley was in critical condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on Sunday night. Ronald J. Ruscheinsky, 59, of Puyallup was listed as satisfactory in the hospital.
The patrol said the motorcyclists were westbound on the highway at 3:21 p.m. when Ruscheinsky crossed the center line into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Betty D. Woolard, 61, of Portland.
Heafey laid his bike on the pavement in the westbound lane, the patrol said.
Heafey was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson 1150 DL bike and Ruscheinsky was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson FLSTCI.
Woolard was not injured.
The accident is under investigation, the patrol said.
