ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) — A U.S. Forest Service decision to approve expansion of the Mt. Ashland Ski Area in southern Oregon has been appealed.
The Ashland Daily Tidings (http://bit.ly/qxnoPK ) reports a total of 26 conservation groups and individuals have filed administrative appeals that will now be considered by the Forest Service internally at its regional office in Portland.
If the regional office upholds the expansion’s approval, people who filed administrative appeals will then have the option to appeal the approval in court.
The Rogue Group Sierra Club filed one of the administrative appeals and has already indicated it plans to appeal in court if needed.
