KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon newspaper is pursuing its lawsuit against Klamath County for refusing to release public records involving an investigation into the county treasurer and the former county assessor.

The Herald and News reports (http://bit.ly/mXC0MN ) that it requested the records in February.

The Klamath Falls newspaper reported Monday the case will be heard in Jackson County Circuit Court in Medford because Klamath County Circuit Court judges have recused themselves.

Klamath County officials initially refused to provide any of the documents requested. But in March they released reports from an internal investigation of the county treasurer and the former assessor.

The investigation included allegations the treasurer made inappropriate remarks to female employees and the former assessor sent inappropriate emails.
