The Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation recently elected two new members to its board of trustees.

Dr. Breton C. Freitag and Timothy A. Miller were named to the board last month.

Freitag is a physician with Northwest Newborn Specialists. Freitag specializes in neonatology with a sub-speciality in pediatrics. He’s the medical director of Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center’s neonatal intensive care unit.

Miller is vice president of business banking for US Bank in Portland. He has been a commercial banker since 1990 and was previously vice president and business banking manager for Wells Fargo Bank.

Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation raises money and promotes visibility in the community to assist Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in providing top quality health care, according to a news release.

Last year, the foundation distributed $63,573 to support the medical center’s programs and services.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Freitag and Mr. Miller to the board,” Maureen Bradley, senior vice president and chief development officer at Legacy Health, said in the news release. “Their leadership and expertise in the community will bring great perspective to our philanthropic efforts in Vancouver and SW Washington.”

Foundation officers include Bradley J. Carlson, chair; John S. McKibbin, vice chair; J. Michael Schultz, executive director; Susanne Baumann, secretary; and Dennis E. Rugg, treasurer.
