A Woodland man was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle was hit by a car as he rode north on Interstate 205 near the northern tip of Andresen Road.

Dustin K. Stansberry, 29, was listed in serious condition Tuesday night at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.

About 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, Stansberry was riding north in the left lane as Oly J. Fickett, 31, was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Corsica north in the right lane, according to a bulletin from the Washington State Patrol.

Fickett is a resident of Lexington, north of Longview. The bulletin said he saw slower traffic ahead and swerved into the left lane, hitting Stansberry, who was riding on a 2006 Honda motorcycle.

Fickett was not reported injured.

A trooper ticketed Fickett for allegedly making an unsafe lane change, the bulletin said.
