Ore. rescuers spot woman matching description

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A helicopter crew has spotted a woman matching the description of a hiker missing in the Mount Hood wilderness.

KGW-TV reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/oy3vMx) the unidentified woman matched the description of 28-year-old Pamela Salant, who disappeared last Sunday as she and her boyfriend searched for a campsite near Bear Lake.

KGW said the woman was wading in Lindsey Creek waving to search helicopters and would need to be airlifted out of the rough terrain.
