Swimmer’s body recovered from Stillaguamish River

ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County sheriff’s office says divers recovered the body Tuesday of a 19-year-old Everett man from the Stillaguamish River near Arlington.

He apparently drowned Monday evening while swimming near the Blue Stilly Park.

The body was found in about 12 feet of water about 30 yards downstream from where he had been swimming with friends when he started struggling.

The Snohomish County medical examiner’s office is conducting an autopsy.
