EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — First-round draft pick Prince Amukamara has completed his first practice with the New York Giants, hours after signing a four-year, $8.18 million contract.

Amukamara looked a little lost Friday, closely following secondary coach Dave Merritt during special teams drills and veterans during defensive portions of the two-plus hour training camp workout at the Giants’ headquarters.

The 19th pick overall, Amukamara took a dawn flight from Nebraska and didn’t arrive at the team facility until well after the team started its day.

However, the cornerback was on the field for the 6 p.m. evening practice and seemed confident he would catch up after missing the first five days of practice.
