TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama coach Nick Saban says he’s worried about what his team does not what people think it can do.

Saban compares the preseason expectations and predictions greeting his team when it opened practice Friday with visiting a fortune teller to find out what’s going to happen.

The Crimson Tide is favored to win the SEC title. Saban says quarterback contenders AJ McCarron and Phillip Sims will be evaluated daily and says he’s happy with where both stand.

Wide receiver signee Duron Carter is in Tuscaloosa but can’t practice yet. Saban says he’s waiting on final grades for the former Ohio State and junior college player.

He says running back/linebacker Brent Calloway is expected to be cleared to practice Friday evening after taking a summer course to get eligible.
