VERONIA, Ore. (AP) — After narrowly losing his bid to become Oregon’s first Republican governor in 24 years, Chris Dudley has returned to running the charitable Chris Dudley Foundation.
Dudley told the Oregonian (http://bit.ly/pF4eXa ) that he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of another campaign. But for now, he wants to focus on his family.
The former Trailblazer says losing the 2010 gubernatorial race to Democrat John Kitzhaber by a single percentage point was like “losing game seven by one point on a last second shot.”
He says he’s still working on some of the same issues he campaigned for, primarily education and health care.
