THE DALLES, Ore. (AP) -- Five more women have accused a hospital anesthesiologist at The Dalles of sexual abuse.
The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/oJ1cxh) Dr. Frederick George Field was charged with rape and felony sexual abuse Monday in an arraignment. He was indicted by a Wasco County grand jury last week and accused of sexually abusing two patients.
The 45-year-old worked at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. Hospital spokesman Richard Baltus says the latest woman to accuse Field onJuly 24 was a hospital employee, not a patient.
Field was arrested July 28. His medical license was suspended last week while the Oregon Medical Board investigates. Until now the board lists no disciplinary actions or malpractice claims against Field.
A call for comment Tuesday to his lawyer Stephen Houze was not returned.
