THE DALLES, Ore. (AP) — Five more women have accused a hospital anesthesiologist at The Dalles of sexual abuse while they were incapacitated.

The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/oJ1cxh ) Dr. Frederick George Field was charged with rape and felony sexual abuse Monday in an arraignment. He was indicted by a Wasco County grand jury last week and accused of sexually abusing two other women.

The 45-year-old worked at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. Hospital spokesman Richard Baltus says Field was never alone with a patient after May when a patient first reported abuse. Baltus says the latest woman to accuse Field in July was not a Mid-Columbia patient.

Field was arrested July 28. His medical license was suspended last week while the Oregon Medical Board investigates. Until now the board lists no disciplinary actions or malpractice claims against Field.
