Richland man gets 4-year sentence for latest DUI

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — A 49-year-old Richland man with a history of drunken driving was sentenced to more than four years in prison for his latest conviction.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/pgJhLS ) Karl David Givens has been convicted seven times. His latest charge was a felony because he had four prior DUIs within 10 years.

Richland police say Givens was speeding and weaving into oncoming traffic in April when he was arrested. He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent. He pleaded guilty.
