INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — NCAA President Mark Emmert has given his opening remarks at a two-day meeting to discuss the direction of the governing body.

Emmert addressed approximately 80 people, including about 20 NCAA staff members, at the two-day retreat that began Tuesday. On hand were Miami President Donna Shalala, who served in the Clinton Administration, and Missouri athletic director Mike Alden.
