VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — The Vancouver City Council is considering a zero tolerance policy for dangerous dogs.
Any dog that causes serious injury or kills another pet or livestock would be banned from the city.
The Columbian reports (http://bit.ly/nYAjn3 ) the ban was discussed at the council’s workshop Monday. The public will have a chance to comment on the proposed ordinance before a council vote in September.
The council previously discussed a ban on pit bulls after a 9-year-old boy was attacked downtown earlier this year.
