Discarded cigarette starts brush fire near Redmond

REDMOND, Ore. (AP) -- A brush fire covered a half-acre and burned two vehicles before firefighters controlled the blaze Wednesday afternoon near Redmond.
KTVZ reports (http://bit.ly/mWzpbF ) the fire was started by a discarded cigarette.
Redmond firefighters were helped by Bend Fire and Rescue and Deschutes County sheriff's deputies.
