Richland man charged in third overdose death

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) -- A Richland man accused of selling heroin has been charged with a third drug overdose death in the Tri-Cities.
Thirty-five-year-old Brian Haney Burt pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Franklin County Superior Court to the latest charge of controlled substance homicide.
Prosecutors say he is responsible for the death of 21-year-old Derek Scott Bradley of Pasco whose body was found July 2 by his mother.
The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/oARhyN ) Burt faces similar charges in Benton County in the two other overdose deaths. If convicted he faces four to five years in prison.
