Rocco Mediate withdraws from PGA with injury

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) -- Rocco Mediate has become the second player to withdraw from the PGA Championship.
The PGA of America says Mediate dropped out Friday because of an unspecified injury. He was unlikely to make the cut after opening with a 9-over 79.
J.B. Holmes also withdrew because of an illness. He was coming off an 80 on Thursday.
