NEW YORK (AP) — Prosecutors say an 18-year-old accused of urinating on the leg of another airline passenger during an Oregon-to-New York City flight will not face charges.

Robert Vietze (VEETZ’) of Warren, Vt., was initially issued a summons for indecent exposure on the red-eye flight. The JetBlue flight left Portland late Tuesday and arrived early Wednesday at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

A police spokeswoman for the agency that manages the New York airport says the teen was intoxicated when he relieved himself in the cabin. Police met the plane at the gate.

She says federal prosecutors later decided to drop the case.

The phone rang unanswered Thursday at the only listed phone number for a Vietze family in Warren.

The episode was first reported by The New York Post.
