NEW YORK (AP) — A minor league free agent has been suspended for 100 games following a positive test for a performance-enhancing drug.

Right-handed pitcher Francisco Cruceta was suspended Friday by the commissioner’s office. He was most recently under contract with Brockton of the independent Canadian American League.

This was the second time Cruceta tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance. The penalty will take effect if he signs with a major league organization.
