Police are searching for a suspect in an attempted armed robbery at an east Vancouver Subway.

An employee reported the robbery attempt at 1125 S.E. 163rd Place around 8:45 a.m. Friday.

The suspect is reported to be a white female, about 23 years-old, 5-feet-6-inches tall, 135 pounds and has blond, jaw-length hair. She was wearing a black hooded jacket, jeans and white sneakers.

Vancouver police are “still looking for someone in the area that matches that description,” police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said around 10 a.m.

The suspect said there were armed men outside the restaurant and demanded money before running out the back door, according to radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
