SHORELINE, Wash. (AP) — A King County sheriff’s spokesman says a speeding motorcyclist who had been chased by Shoreline police was killed when he crashed into a car in Shoreline, north of Seattle.

Sgt. John Urquhart says the patrol car had stopped the chase just before the accident Friday. The motorcycle was later determined to be stolen.

The motorcyclist was not immediately identified. He was described as a man in his 20s.

The 22-year-old female driver of the car was treated for minor injuries.

The King County sheriff’s office provides police service to Shoreline under contract. The deputies wear Shoreline uniforms and drive squad cars with the city’s name.
