Saturday, August 13, 2011
BEND, Ore. (AP) -- Police have arrested two people accused of breaking into a Planned Parenthood in Bend.
Bend Police Sgt. Dan Ritchie tells KTVZ (http://bit.ly/onfOSY) that the break-in appears to be a "crime of opportunity" and not targeted at Planned Parenthood.
Officers responding to a reported burglary found a screen on a window had been removed and the window had been slid open. Nobody was in the building.
Police reviewed a surveillance video and found a 26-year-old Bend woman who matched the description of one of the suspects. They later located a 20-year-old Corvallis man who matched the other suspect's description.
Both were arrested on misdemeanor charges of attempted burglary.
