Evergreen Public Schools will stage a “Stuff the Bus” event on Wednesday to collect school supplies and donations for students for the coming year.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., two school buses will be parked outside Chuck’s Produce and Street Market, 13215 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

Volunteers will gladly accept backpacks, paper, calculators, pencils, glue, notepads, pens, tape and scissors — and money to purchase supplies.

Honu Hawaiian Shave Ice will contribute, and donate a portion of the day’s sales to the drive. There will be a bouncy slide at the site, and anyone making a donation — either supplies or cash — may enter a drawing for a Wii gaming system.

Evergreen’s school year begins Aug. 31.
