Israeli aircraft hit Gaza, 5 reported wounded

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says its aircraft have struck five targets in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

Palestinian health official Adham Abu Salmia says five people were wounded in the attacks early Tuesday, including three militants and a 5-year-old boy.

The military says four of the targets were hit in retaliation for rocket fire on southern Israel on Monday night that caused no injuries.

The military says that in a separate strike, Israeli aircraft hit a group of armed men preparing to launch a rocket attack.
