SEATTLE (AP) — A court document says the man accused of killing his partner and their 2-year-old son in Seattle was nude and covered in blood when he opened his apartment door Thursday to a co-worker checking why he failed to show up for work.
The co-worker called police, and officers found a 29-year-old man and the boy dead and the suspect slumped by the door.
In the statement of probable cause released Monday, police say officers asked 39-year-old Louis Chao Chen who stabbed them all. He answered, “I did.”
Chen is expected to recover from his wounds and will be held for investigation of murder. King County prosecutor have until Tuesday to file charges.
KOMO reports Chen is a doctor who had just moved the family to Seattle from Durham, N.C.
