GASTON, Ore. (AP) — Three firefighters were injured at a two-alarm fire Tuesday night at the Stimson Lumber mill in Gaston.

The Gaston Rural Fire District says one Gaston firefighter was taken to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland. One Gaston firefighter and one Yamhill firefighter were taken to Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. All injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The firefighters were injured in an explosion that occurred more than two hours after the initial call to a fire in the powerhouse at the mill. The cause has not yet been determined.
