PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have purchased the contract of left-hander Wade Miley from Triple-A Reno and placed right-hander Jason Marquis on the 15-day disabled list.
Miley was 4-1 with a 3.64 ERA in eight starts with Reno.
The team said Tuesday that Marquis suffered a fractured right fibula after he was hit by a line drive Sunday in a game against the New York Mets.
General manager Kevin Towers says the team also designated right-hander Kevin Mulvey for assignment.
