COQUILLE, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon judge has convicted Gabriel Morris of two counts of aggravated murder in the Feb. 8, 2010, deaths of Morris’ mother, Robin Anstey, and her boyfriend, Robert Kennelly. Coos County Circuit Court Judge Martin Stone also ruled Tuesday that an insanity defense did not apply.
County District Attorney R. Paul Frasier says the judge sentenced Morris to life in prison without parole on each count.
