CAMANO ISLAND, Wash. (AP) -- The Washington State Patrol says a state Transportation Department worker was seriously injured when he was pinned between a truck and a light pole in a three-vehicle crash on Camano Island.
The worker was airlifted Tuesday to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where Trooper Keith Leary says he was in serious but stable condition.
Leary says a pickup truck hit the rear of a car stopped at a red light on State Highway 532. The pickup then swerved, hitting a Transportation Department signal maintenance truck and pinning the worker between his truck and the light pole.
