Bridgetown wins $75,000 Troy Stakes at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) -- Heavily favored Bridgetown took command leaving the stretch turn and drew away to a 634-length victory Wednesday in the $75,000 Troy Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
Ridden by John Velazquez, the Todd Pletcher-trained 4-year oldran 512 furlongs over the main turf course in 1:03.13 for his third win in five starts this season.
Bridgetown earned $45,000 for the Melnyk Racing Stable and returned $3.60, $2.60 and $2.10. Pashito the Che returned $5 and $3.70, and Awakino Cat paid $2.60 to show.
