Letter: Promises from candidate unfulfilled

As a constituent of Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler’s, R-Camas, district, I am concerned that she is out of touch with the issues affecting her district. Why would she continue to support “fake” legislation sponsored by the House Republicans when she knew it has no chance of passing? The president had offered a deal that they will never see again.

They are all so blinded by the idea that they can hold on to power indefinitely, but I guess that is the mentality of the career politician. Republicans are on record saying their goal is to make a Obama a one-term President. I have news for them … they will watch the president complete his second term from the comfort of their own homes. Herrera Beutler and about two-thirds of the other new Tea Party followers will be voted out as quickly as they were voted in.

Herrera Beutler has rooted against the country as we faced the worst recession since the Great Depression and in the six months she has been in office, she has not created one job. Can she name one piece of legislation that she has voted on that was designed to create jobs? Where are the jobs, Ms. Herrera Beutler?
