SEATTLE (AP) -- Seattle police and fire officials say a 21-year-old Seattle man fell off a personal watercraft into Lake Washington and is presumed drowned.
The Seattle Times reports (http://bit.ly/pRiCkf) that a nearby boater threw a life jacket to the man when he fell Wednesday evening north of Seward Park but the man couldn't reach it.
Officials say that boater jumped into the water and was able to grab the man's hand, but the 21-year-old couldn't hold on.
Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore says the young man's family described him as a very good swimmer.
