The city of Vancouver Community Development Department and Permit Center will be closed Friday as staff moves to the new City Hall offices at 415 W. Sixth St.
There will be no building inspections Friday, and citizens will also be unable to get a building permit, submit plans, establish or change water/sewer connections; receive zoning and land use information and applications; or meet with building, engineering or planning staff that day. Those departments will be reopen Monday in the new City Hall.
Many of the city’s services are already located in the new building, including utility payments; parking permits and ticket payments; business license applications; and placing bids, quotes or proposals to the city as a vendor.
The last city council meeting at the old City Hall, 210 E. 13th St., will be Monday, with the first meeting in the new City Hall set for Sept. 12. The last public meeting in the old City Hall will be a Tuesday Planning Commission meeting.
