Coyotes lock up Boedker with 2-year deal

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Phoenix Coyotes have re-signed restricted free agent forward Mikkel Boedker to a two-year contract.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A 21-year-old from Denmark, Boedker appeared in 34 games for the Coyotes last season, scoring four goals with 10 assists. He’s played 126 career NHL games with 16 goals and 26 assists, posting career highs with 11 goals and 17 assists in 2008-09.

The eighth overall pick of the 2008 NHL draft by Phoenix, Boedker also had 12 goals and 22 assists in 36 games for San Antonio of the AHL last season.
