Letter: Keep light rail off the bridge

The Columbian
Published: August 17, 2011, 5:00pm

The Aug. 12 story reported, “Mayor weighing run for Congress: He may run against Rep. Herrera Beutler.”

Tim Leavitt for Congress? Give me a break. He campaigned to fight against tolls and now he is pushing a possible tax measure to fund light rail. Get a clue, Mr. Mayor, no one wants light rail in Vancouver; all the profits will go to Portland and all their criminals and liabilities will be ours.

No light rail. Keep the bridge costs down — no tolls and keep it open to cars as it should be.
