SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Jake Fromm’s line-drive homer to center highlighted a three-run ninth to lead Warner Robins, Ga., past LaGrange, Ky., 8-5 on Monday to advance at the Little League World Series.

Fromm, a pitcher, returned to the mound in the bottom of the ninth and finished off the game with two strikeouts and a groundout.

The bad back that’s been bothering the 13-year-old Fromm didn’t seem to affect him on the mound. He fanned 10 in relief.

Evan Lasseter scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball with Fromm at bat before Fromm’s shot off a 2-1 pitch.

Kentucky chipped away at Georgia’s early 5-2 lead, tying the game at five in the fifth after Grant Larimore scored on an error. Travis Faith and Griffin McLarty homered for Kentucky.
