FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson went through a limited practice on Tuesday, his first workout since he was sidelined with a torn right biceps tendon on Aug. 6.

Wilson was limited mostly to footwork exercises but took part in a goal-line pass defense drill and said he did not try to avoid any arm work during the practice.

He jokingly asked beat writers one by one if they had doubted him, getting all of them to agree they had. Wilson said he is aiming to be ready for the team’s season opener Sept. 11 at home against Carolina.

Wilson, a four-time Pro Bowler who has played all 10 of his NFL seasons with the Cardinals, chose to rehab the injury rather than consider surgery. He was injured trying to tackle Beanie Wells in practice.
