KELSO – Drivers wishing to access State Route 432 from Old Pacific Highway should plan to take alternate routes this weekend as crews rebuild the roadway connecting Carrolls and Rose Valley to Longview.

Crews will fully close the ramp from Old Pacific Highway to westbound SR 432 from 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.

A signed detour will direct drivers north on Kelso Drive and west on Allen Street.

During the closure, crews will remove the existing ramp and raise the roadway by approximately seven feet. The new, taller ramp will improve sight distance, giving drivers more time and space to safely merge onto SR 432.

This work is part of the I-5, SR 432 Talley Way Interchange project, which is scheduled for completion in summer 2012.
