Ridgefield — Car enthusiasts came together to support local veterans at a cruise-in fundraiser on Aug. 5.
American Legion Post 44 hosted the car show in conjunction with Ridgefield’s monthly First Friday. Terry Foltz created the hand-crafted awards that were given to the winners.
Gar March of Battle Ground won the best of show award for his 1969 Mustang Mach 1. Nearly 60 cars were entered in the show and around $1,100 was raised.
“The funds that are raised through the cruise-in and drawings will help in many ways — from assisting vets in obtaining their benefits to providing programs for their families and youth,” said Bruce Crockett, Post 44 commander.
