Portland Fire & Rescue on Thursday morning recovered a man’s body from the Columbia River north of Hayden Island.
Investigators cannot yet confirm the identity of the body, Portland Fire and Rescue spokesman Paul Corah said Thursday.
Responders used a rope rescue system to get the body to shore, then transported the body to the Multnomah County Corner’s Office, Corah said.
A report that a body had been found came in just before 10 a.m., Corah said.
On Sunday, 45-year-old Carl Lacour of Camas jumped off a boat near Jantzen Beach and presumably drowned. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office called off the search for his body on Tuesday.
