PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon judge who was bicycling to work was struck and injured by a car driven by a doctor.

Portland police spokesman Lt. Robert King says Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen Dailey suffered non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning. She was reported in fair condition at Oregon Health & Science University hospital.

The spokesman says Dailey was northbound in a bike lane when a car driven by 45-year-old Cynthia Ferrell made a left turn, striking Dailey. The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/pnXDn2 ) that Ferrell is a doctor at OHSU. She was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

King says the judge was wearing a helmet.
