Letter: Redirect aid to help Americans

The Columbian
Published: August 25, 2011, 5:00pm

The national debt debate did not include the U.S. foreign aid to countries that hate us. Trillions of dollars over the past decades and no one wants to address these foreign blackmail issues. When are we as a country going to give up this aid and keep the trillions of dollars to support America? As a congressman once said, “Why are we sending money to countries that hate us? They can do that by themselves.” Well said. It is time that Americans look after ourselves.
