The Clark County Board of Health is looking for a volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Public Health Advisory Council.

The vacancy is open to any county resident who has a general interest in public health but is not a health care professional. The council has strong health care representation and is seeking a member to represent the layperson’s perspective.

The council meets 6-8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. in Vancouver.

Applicants should submit a resume and/or letter of interest to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Applications can be submitted, by fax at 360-397-6058 or email at jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov, by 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

Applicants should describe why they are interested in serving, what unique perspectives they would bring to the council and any experiences or activities that will support the council’s efforts.

Questions can be directed to Julie Grimm at 360-397-8477.
