SONOMA, Calif. (AP) -- Will Power won the pole position in Saturday's qualifying for the Infineon Grand Prix.
Power led Team Penske to the top three qualifying spots in Sunday's race, with Brazilian Helio Castroneves and Australian Ryan Brisco qualifying second and third.
For Power (1:18.6017 qualifying time), the 2010 Infineon Grand Prix winner and last year's race pole position winner, it is his six pole position of the 2011 IndyCar Series season. Power is currently in second place in Series standings.
The fourth through sixth qualifiers to make up the "fast six" for Sunday's Infineon Grand Prix race include Target Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Dario Franchitti of Scotland and Scott Dixon of New Zealand. Canadian James Hinchcliffe (Newman/Hass Racing) rounded out the first six qualifiers.
