VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) -- The man accused of a drunken driving crash that injured a 3-year-old Vancouver-area boy was ordered held Monday on $75,000 bail for investigation of hit-and-run and vehicular assault.

Sheriff's deputies believe he had been drinking and was speeding Sunday night when his car failed to make a turn and crashed into a garage where the boy was playing. He was hit by flying debris. His mother told KATU he was doing OK after receiving stitches for a cut to the back of his head.
The driver ran from the scene and was arrested about six blocks away. Deputies believe he had earlier sideswiped another car.
